Hi There, I’m Rose

About Me

Experience

I have loved to do art and write stories ever since I was a little girl. These passions led me to pursue a degree in Journalism with a concentration in Visual Media so I could learn to harness my writing and visual skills for storytelling. As a graduate, I’m proud of my experience working for many publications at my university and the professional work I have completed.

Currently, in my position as a Digital Marketing Specialist at MarketSnare, I have helped many national companies increase their organic local traffic through social media, localized websites, SEO integration, GBP & business listings integration, Google Analytics, and more.

Throughout my time at Biola University, I worked for the school’s magazine, literary journal, newspaper, and yearbook as a designer or a part of the senior staff. Through this work and my design classes, I became proficient in AdobeSuite, specializing in InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop. I am a quick and intuitive learner when it comes to other design programs.

During my time working at MarketSnare, I have learned a lot and grown as a professional, but I am excited for an opportunity to grow at a new company.

Background

I graduated Biola University in May 2022 with a degree in Journalism and a concentration in Visual Media. Through my time at Biola, I was able to hone my design skills through classes, extracurriculars, and constant use of Adobe design programs. When I was in high school, I figured out how to create gifs and animation with Adobe Photoshop, and from that point forward I knew I wanted to use design and art to tell stories. Storytelling to me can be anything from conveying the identity of a company through writing and design, writing copy to tell the story of an organization's journey, or interviewing individuals to bring their stories to the public. I love using my skills to creatively convey any story worth telling, and I'm always up for a challenge.

The Biola University InkSlinger Team, 2019

I love working with teams in creative spaces. In 2020 I worked as the main designer for Biola University’s literary journal, Inkslinger. The team met together often to sort through countless submissions and create the publication, but after the COVID-19 pandemic forced Biola students off-campus part-way through the semester, how the team was going to approach completing the publication became an issue. The team was only able to meet and work together over Zoom, and I was the only one on the team with personal access to Adobe programs. With feedback and advice from my superiors on the team, I designed the year’s publication alone from my laptop, remotely. Though working on a publication during Covid’s peak was an exciting challenge, I am looking forward to working with other creatives in person again.
